At 62, I am learning that life is not always what we believe.
Created an opportunity for Bill, aka Old Boston Buck (OBB) to create a new passion to share his dash. To step away from 40+ years within an industry to engage people differently is an opportunity of a lifetime. The journey that started in 2020 continues; the gratitude I have for those who support, help, guide and change me have permanently left footprints in my heart.
2020 the passing of my dad. To sit with him as he got his wings cannot begin to describe the impact this moment in time had on me, other than to say there was a freeing to see the world differently. To be part of unconditional support and empathy opened me in a way that has me looking at my life and the people in it differently.
2009-2019 was a ten-year 24/7/365 adventure that I can’t even begin to share here, but I will one day. The only way it can be captured is to say, life, bullshit, and the pursuit of finding my way was a roller coaster ride like none other. Relationships, career, opportunities, advancements, challenges, support, impacts, travel, experiences and it was an adventure, and a grind of a lifetime.
2009 changing directions and retired as a public servant. Went to the private sector for a new adventure. Stability vs freedom. “Freedom means nothing left to lose, Janis Joplin.”
But I believed!
1985-2008 what an opportunity. I was given a chance, learned, experienced help, developed relationships, gotten educated, built a brand, engaged all types of people, to be the brunt of a joke, overcame my past and moved forward.
...the beginning of my dash. No words can describe my or my family’s life other than, holy shit Batman are you frigg’n kidding me! Nope I kid you not! What I will say, my life, lessons, my amazing sisters, kids, people in and out of my life, getting sober in 1984, renewed in 1985 until this moment…
